This distinctive bronze brooch is inspired by the ancient Celtic goddess Epona. It measures circa 43 mm in diameter and is decorated with three galloping horses.
Epona appears to have been worshiped across much of western Europe between the 1st and 3rd centuries AD. Associated with fertility, she was nearly always depicted accompanied by horses.
The brooch attaches to clothing via a pin on its reverse and it comes in a decorative presentation bag.
